  1. 1993: Erasmus Grant at the Geology Department, University College of Galway (Ireland), during which a geological map and structural analysis were made in the metamorphic areas of Connemara (W of Ireland) and the following subjects were coursed: Plate Tectonics, Applied Geophysics, Data Analisys and Metamorphic Petrology.


  1. 1994-95: Undergraduate Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, to collaborate with the Department of Geology (Geodynamics Area) of the Univ. of Oviedo in the stablishment of a network of seismic stations and acquisition of gravity data in the Cantabrian Mountains.


  1. 1995: University Award to the best graduate academic record in Geology.


  1. 1997-2000: FPU Grant for PhD research, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.
